My husband of 26 years was diagnosed with Hodgins Lymphoma. We were totally overwelmed by all the paperwork, testing and financial responsibilities that we were to encounter without warning. At the hotel we were staying, A couple there had been through the drill many times. They could see the scared concerned looks on our face and started a conversation with us. They told us about the Houston Ground Angels and how they could at least help us with some of the travel expensives that we were encountering. We decided to get in touch with them and it was the best thing that we could have done. The ground angels not only helped us financially but they made us feel safe and loved. Kathy, Lori, and Mr. and Mrs. Thompson gave us a family away from home.
