Angel Stories

This is to each and everyone who may be involved in the Angel Flight program, from the ones who schedule the flights, the pilots, the ground transportation volunteers and anyone else who may volunteer their time in any way to help. I was fortunate enough to hear about Angel Flight after my second month of traveling to M.D. Anderson in Houston. That was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. We not only battled cancer, but mother nature. We had times when there were ice storms, snow, sleet, fog, high winds, tornadoes and hurricanes ...which delayed our flying...but I always made it safely. The pilots of Angel Flight are most definitely ANGELS as they carry us to our medical destinations and back home again. The ground transportation Angles are there to make sure you have transportation to and from the airport. Angel Flight is a wonderful organization full of special people who are willing to give their time and money to help others. I have a special thanks for Bo Hunter who went out of his way to help my daughter and I on our first trip on Angel Flight. Thank you, Bo. The best thing about this is I met a lot of nice people, including a lady I consider one of my very best friends, Kathy Broussard. Kathy is one of the nicest people I have ever known, she gives from the heart, and always has a smile. Kathy was my life saver in my situation. Kathy and Tailwind became part of my family. Thank you, Kathy. Thank you to all the Angel Flight volunteers, you are a wonderful group of people. GOD BLESS YOU!
